Mythical Pride Apparel

Partnering with Mythical Entertainment, I created one of three featured tees from LGBTIQ artists for their June 2026 Pride Collection. With a four week timeline, I worked with the following sentiments as my design brief.

  • Strong preference for subtle, aesthetic designs over overt rainbow graphics or large lettering. Interest in “if you know, you know” pieces that can be worn casually every day or to work - not just to a parade or party

  • Preference for neutral or solid bases with a subtle pop of Pride colors rather than full rainbow garments

Thumbnails & Concepts

I started in my sketchbook, creating around 30 thumbnail sketches before isolating the best seven designs and moving to Procreate, where I digitized those concepts and created a short slide deck for review.

I used a simplified color palette to represent the designs at this stage, simply to indicate where I was thinking about color usage throughout the entire design, before a design direction was chosen.

Final Design & Color Options

After the team at Mythical selected their preferred design from the round one review, I created the final artwork file and eight different colorways, in which I prepared four different options for print production.

The final version and colors included three different colorways, monochromatic green and burgundy, with an exclusive blue and yellow design for Mythical Society members.

Content and Promotion

To support the release of the collection, I wrote, recorded, edited, and designed two social media reels, communicating with the Mythical team for the eventual release on my own social media pages.

Proceeds from sales of the design will benefit Outright International, a LGBTIQ organization advocating for queer communities and human rights.
